The notice also mentions how Fairway was the head of the Children's Leukemia Center, and a popular teacher in his department. In the listening passage, the students discuss the death of their favorite professor. They discuss how he wad the first professor to embrace the use of multi-media technology into their lectures. They also remember how he was the first professor in the Faculty of Medicine Sciences to request that students use email for their report submiswsion. The students reminisce on how he would really get enthusiastic with his lectures to the point of losing track of time. they are saddened for the loss of a professor who was both interested in and enthusiastic about the students' future to the point of helping them with grant applications while still being involved in his area of expertise
